Sky Optics‘ OSFP112 2x400G VR4 transceiver is designed for 2x400 Gigabit Ethernet links over 30m OM3 or 50m OM4 multimode fiber. The module features 8 independent electrical channels operating at 106.25Gbps per channel (8x112G PAM4), delivering 800G bandwidth using the advanced 800GAUI-8 electrical interface (IEEE 802.3ck).

The module consists of two transmitter/receiver units operating at 850nm wavelength. The transmitter path incorporates a PAM4 retimer ASIC with two 4-channel modulator drivers and 8 VCSEL lasers. On the receiver side, it uses 8 photodiodes and two 4-channel TIAs. The module supports multiple mechanical structure options: Flat Top, Finned Top, or Riding HS for optimized thermal management.

With low power consumption (< 15W) and dual MPO-12 APC connectors, this module is ideal for short-reach high-density 2x400G or 8x100G applications in data center intra-rack and adjacent-rack interconnects.
