OSFP 400G SR8 Optical Transceiver
Sky Optics‘ OSFP SR8 transceiver is designed for 400 Gigabit Ethernet links over 70m OM3 or 100m OM4 multimode fiber. It features 8 independent electrical channels operating at 53.125Gbps per channel, making it an ideal solution for short-reach high-density data center interconnects.
The module consists of two transmitter/receiver units operating at 850nm wavelength, incorporating a PAM4 retimer ASIC with two 4-channel modulator drivers and 8 VCSEL lasers. On the receiver side, it uses 8 photodiodes and two 4-channel TIAs. The electrical interface complies with 400GAUI-8 (IEEE 802.3bs) and OSFP MSA.
With MPO-16 APC connector and full breakout support for 2x200G, 4x100G, and 8x50G applications, this module offers exceptional deployment flexibility for modern data centers transitioning to 400G Ethernet.
