Sky Optics‘ OSFP112 400G DR4 transceiver is designed for 400 Gigabit Ethernet and 400G NDR InfiniBand links over 500m single-mode fiber. The module automatically supports both InfiniBand and Ethernet depending on the connected host. With 4 independent electrical channels operating up to 106.25Gbps per channel (4x112G PAM4), it delivers 400G bandwidth using the advanced 400GAUI-4 electrical interface.

The transmitter path incorporates a bidirectional PAM4 retimer ASIC integrated with EML (Electro-absorption Modulated Laser) and 4-channel internal driver. On the receiver path, it uses 4 photodiodes and a 4-channel TIA array. All four channels operate on 1310nm center wavelength. The electrical interface complies with 400GAUI-4 and OSFP MSA.

With low power consumption (< 9W), MPO-12 connector, and support for 4x100G breakout, this module is an ideal solution for data center leaf-spine interconnects and high-performance computing (HPC) InfiniBand fabrics.
