Sky Optics‘ OSFP 400G VR4 transceiver is designed for very short-reach 400 Gigabit Ethernet links over 30m OM3 or 50m OM4 multimode fiber. With 4 independent electrical channels operating up to 106.25Gbps per channel, it delivers 400G aggregate bandwidth in a compact OSFP form factor.

The module operates at 850nm wavelength and incorporates a PAM4 retimer ASIC with a 4-channel modulator driver and 4 VCSEL lasers. On the receiver path, it features 4 photodiodes and a 4-channel TIA. The electrical interface complies with 400GAUI- 4 (IEEE 802.3ck) and OSFP MSA, representing a significant upgrade over 8x50G architectures.

This module is ideal for intra-rack and adjacent-rack connections where cost-effective,high-bandwidth, low-latency multimode fiber links are required.
