Sky Optics‘ OSFP112 2x400G LR4 transceiver is designed for 800 Gigabit Ethernet links over 10km single-mode fiber. The module features 8 independent electrical channels operating at 106.25Gbps per channel (8x112G PAM4), delivering 800G bandwidth using the advanced 800GAUI-8 electrical interface (IEEE 802.3ck).

The module consists of two independent transmitter/receiver units, each operating on a set of 4 CWDM wavelengths near 1300nm per ITU G.694.2. The transmitter path incorporates a bidirectional PAM4 retimer ASIC integrated with an 8-channel modulator driver, 8 EML lasers, and two optical multiplexers. On the receiver side, two optical demultiplexers are coupled to 8 photodiodes and two 4-channel TIA arrays.

With low power consumption (< 16W) and dual duplex LC connectors, this module is ideal for long-reach 2x400G or 8x100G applications requiring CWDM technology and LC-based cabling over 10km.
